Membership with UI LEAP is $15 annually and provides many benefits to the member. Members are able to register for classes at a lower class fee than non-members, and receive access to Interest Groups and free members-only classes, as well as invitations to special events and other fun opportunities.

UI LEAP Program Policies
Inclement Weather Policy
UI LEAP will not hold classes or events when the Community School District schools are closed because of inclement weather. In cases where the classes are held in the evening or on a weekend, please tune in to your local television or radio for closing announcements. Participants will be notified by the instructor to schedule make-up dates.
Scholarships for Members
UI LEAP strives to make all classes and events accessible to everyone. Participants needing financial assistance are encouraged to contact Virginia Jorstad at (319) 384-4566 for details. All inquiries will be decided on a case by case basis and be kept strictly confidential.
Cancellation Policy
There will be a $15 cancellation fee for any course cancelled within two weeks of the course’s start date. This fee will be waived under extenuating medical circumstances. In the event that a class is cancelled due to limited class size or inclement weather, participants will receive a full refund. Membership and trip fees are non-refundable.
Photos
Please be aware that UI LEAP activities may be photographed in order to obtain photos to use in course guides, newsletters, website, or other promotional material. In addition, the media may take photos or videotapes of LEAP events and classes. UI LEAP is not responsible for images taken by the media.
